Crystal Delia, MS, LPC began her career in behavioral health treatment in 2006, working as an aide on a Traumatic Brain Injury unit. In 2008, Ms. Delia joined the non-profit sector where she gained experience working with adult individuals, groups and families struggling with severe and persistent mental illness, addiction and mental health crises.
Ms. Delia went on to earn her Masters Degree from Monmouth University and gained credentials as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor. From 2015-2018, Ms. Delia held positions as Director of addiction treatment programs in Ocean, Monmouth and Middlesex Counties.
Ms. Delia utilizes evidence based modalities for an individualized approach gathered from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, substance use treatment, gambling addictions treatment, Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Ms. Delia is also a Registered Certified Yoga Teacher and has implemented yoga as a mind-body tool for individuals recovering from trauma, addictions, disassociation and anxiety. Tools include breathing techniques, guided meditation, mindfulness exercises, increasing self-awareness, finding balance and implementation of self-soothing techniques. Ms. Delia believes that everyone has the capacity for positive change within them, and the importance of the therapeutic alliance between counselor and client in unveiling this potential.
