Kaitlyn has experience working in various clinical settings where she has facilitated both, group and individual psychotherapy with teens and adults. She prefers to work from a lens of treating the whole person rather than just the symptoms. She will provide coping skills, and other therapeutic interventions that not only alleviate symptoms but help to prevent them. Kaitlyn utilizes evidence-based practices such as Dialectical and Cognitive Behavioral therapy but can pull from other modalities based upon the presenting issue. Kaitlyn’s experience has been centered on treating various disorders and issues such as, depression, anxiety, trauma, life changes, obsessive compulsive disorder, substance use, low self-esteem and more.
Kaitlyn is a heart rate variability (HRV) biofeedback therapist and is a HeartMath® Certified Practitioner. She utilizes HRV biofeedback software and evidenced-based techniques to regulate heart rhythms that promote optimal levels of functioning across body systems. Kaitlyn uses the Heart-Brain connection to improve emotional wellbeing and regulation. Different patterns of heart activity have different and significant effects on one’s thoughts and behaviors; with the help of biofeedback technology and equipment, Kaitlyn teaches individuals skills and techniques to gain control of these heart rhythms. HeartMath training has the ability to improve focus, sleep, calmness and decrease anxiety, fatigue and depression
When Kaitlyn isn’t working she likes to go for a run or play on the beach with her dog, Jasper. Lastly, Kaitlyn truly believes it’s a privilege for you to allow her in on your journey.
